100th Citation of Our Study of Using Design Spaces in HPLC
November 23, 2023

Our scientific study «Aspects of the ‘Design Space’ in high pressure liquid chromatography method development» by H.J. Rieger, I. Molnár and K. Monks, which was published in Journal of Chromatography A 1217 (2010) 193-200, was cited more than 100 times.
The publication describes a multifactorial optimization of four critical HPLC method parameters: gradient time (tG), temperature (T), pH and ternary composition (B1:B2). The approach, implemented in DryLab®2010, enabled the scientists to effectively separate 14 peaks with a run time of under 20 minutes while demonstrating robustness to critical parameters. The methodology aligned with Quality by Design (QbD) principles and established a Design Space identifying multiple robust working conditions of HPLC methods. Further benefits of DryLab Design Space Modeling lied in the efficiency it brought to routine method development and the compliance it had with regulatory demands.
